I was torn between several notable prebuilt keyboards and I decided on the Evo80 due to the reputation of both Qwertykeys and Neo Studio. I listened to so many sound tests and was constantly blown away by how great the Evo80 sounded. But...they always sound better in the videos right....? Nope, this keyboard genuinely sounds exactly as good as the advertisements make it out to be. The construction is solid, the colors are gorgeous and the battery life seems phenomenal (going on 8 days without falling to 50% battery yet). I can easily recommend this to newcomers and veterans of the hobby, as it is a 10/10 out of the box and still completely moddable if the user so desires.
Good build quality. Sounds great.
Everything is nearly perfect ranging from the sound to the feel itself. I would highly recommend if you have the budget for it.
Amazing sound, amazing feeling, amazing build quality. ZERO creaking. 10/10. RGB is great and even comes with mac keycaps!
I am beyond happy with this board, it is such high quality from the sound look and feel. I enjoy typing on it and it is such a beautiful color. I picked up the sandgold color which looks rosy-brown in the light. The carrying case and extra accessories are great, I move my setup often, so it'll make life easier (its heavy!). The poppy azure switches+fr4 plate remind me a bit of the sound of pool balls colliding, I really enjoy it. Best of all the team support through their discord is great, I trust that I'll be able to get help if I need it!
If this looks anything like what you're looking for I promise you won't be disappointed. I am very inexperienced in the keyboard hobby but wanted something that I could change to my liking and will last me a while, I think this is it.
BEST KEYBOARD IVE EVER USED
The keyboard exceeded expectations. The sound is spectacular (I got the Oat switches version), the color is great (I chose cream). Its everything I had hoped for. There were minor issues, like a key was double typing, but I promptly fixed that by changing out the switch with the extra switches and tools that were provided. It was laughably easy with the hotswap pcb and the ball catch mechanism. No soldering or unscrewing needed. It's a great pre-built mechanical keyboard that I would recommend to anyone.
Exceeds my expectations - truly.
For context, I’m coming from a Mistel, several Keychrons and a GMMK Pro. Yes, did the custom keycaps thing, the different profiles thing, the switch lube & film thing, the stabilizer tuning thing, the band aid mods, the tape mods, etc. Vast improvements over out-of-the-box. And I have sh*t to do in real life, like work…I have a really demanding day job.
Thus the attraction of a prebuilt…but I was not expecting the solid build, thoughtful design, and OHHH the thock (to be clear, I went PP Plate + Oat Switch…make sure you listen to the embedded YouTube with the audio differences between plate/switch combos).
How knocked out was I by this keeb? I just ordered a second one for my work office…this one’s staying in the home office.
I just recently got the keyboard and so far I am really enjoying it. It is the best keyboard I have owned so far and it sounds wonderful. I am looking to purchase another keyboard from Quertykeys soon!
